Hardness testing can be time-consuming, so there is an increasing need for more efficient and accurate automatic testing, free of operator influence. The AAV-500 Series reduces individual differences in impression dimension measurement in the micro hardness testing by adopting image analysis technologies. In addition, improved precision and high speed have been achieved with a measurement cycle of only 0.3 seconds.
  • Automatically performs all operations required in the Vickers and Knoop hardness test, such as load application, turret indexing, focusing, indentation measurement, and repositioning on the sample.
  • 0.3 seconds automatic measurement cycle time (using a PC)
  • Reproducibility of ±0.5% is achieved (For objective lens 50X, diagonal line 11 to 45mm, and 500HV), providing reliable and stable test results.
  • All operations from test condition setting to test result analysis can be performed on a Windows PC. In addition, data processing for the test results can be performed by using specified Excel software.
  • Can operate in a load range of 200 gf to 50 kgf, depending on model.

The software allows for near instant measurement of indentations and storage of test results Testing positions can be setup in many ways including traverses and zig-zag traverses.
